September has arrived - and with it comes Vermont's first autumn festival, taking place in our town. On Saturday and Sunday (Sept 17th-18th), the Chester Green will be full of food and arts vendors. There will be activities all day. A favorite for me: The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) will be there to discuss Vermont birds, with a special focus on raptors. There will also be food everywhere - including a biergarten hosted by our neighbors, Bushel and a Peck!
Fischer Arts is taking part in the activities. We have new artists and new work to share, from a tent out front, to the exhibit space in back.
To start, we have an opportunity to meet Vermont sculptor Stanton Sears.
In the tent out front and throughout the gallery, we have new work available, including
block prints from artist Sarah Hess that fit the season perfectly....
maples, hops, acorns and more.
We have new stained glass by Vermont's Root Studio - mountains, crescent moons, even mini-mushrooms, available in the the tent and in-store.
You will find lovely handcrafted vases by artist Stephanie Nichols in the window.
In our exhibit space, they are coupled with handcrafted
paper flowers by artist Alyx Kasupski.
And as always, we have a curated collection of antique nature prints
- with new pieces chosen for this wonderful fall event.
We can't wait to see you! Come and enjoy the season in Chester
- Saturday and Sunday, September 17th-18th.
